RCMP investigate liquor store robbery

BOWDEN - Olds RCMP are asking for your help to solve a liquor store robbery in Bowden.
The theft occurred on Oct. 5.
At about 12:30 a.m. that night, police were called to an alarm complaint at the Bowden Liquor Store.
When police arrived on-scene, they found that the front window of the business had been smashed.
"Investigation determined one suspect wearing a black hoodie, gloves and grey pants used an object to repeatedly smash the window," an RCMP news release says.
"A second suspect, wearing a grey hoodie and black pants then grabbed several bottles of hard liquor from inside the store."
Five  26-ounce bottles of vodka were stolen.
Total damage to the store is pegged at about $1,000.

The week of Oct. 2-9 was a busy one for Olds RCMP as they received 144 calls for service.

Those calls included five reports of abandoned vehicles, six calls to deal with animals, one assault complaint and one of careless use of a firearm.

Police also responded to two break-ins to businesses, one report of a break-in to a home and five reports of theft under $5,000.

In addition, Olds RCMP dealt with 18 motor vehicle collisions and 11 traffic complaints.

They received three allegations of fraud, three of criminal harassment and one report of a missing person.
