Tim Hortons gives big reasons for area non-profits to smile

A total of $36,000 was raised for four charities in Innisfail, Olds, Didsbury, Sundre and Bowden

OLDS - The annual Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign was held Sept. 19-22.

Cookies were sold for $1 each (plus tax) with proceeds going to various charities.

A total of $36,000, up about $3,000 from last year, was raised for four charities in Innisfail, Olds, Didsbury, Sundre and Bowden.

About $13,500 was raised in Olds and Didsbury for Hope4MVCKids.

The Innisfail location raised just over $8,200 for the Innisfail Ecole John Wilson Parents Society.

The Sundre location raised a little over $12,000 for Greenwood Neighbourhood Place.

And more than $2,200 was raised at the Bowden location for Bowden Grandview School Youth Enhancement Fund.
