OLDS — Town meetings will continue to be held via Zoom and/or other electronic means, due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions.
That goes not only for all of town council’s meetings, but also for authorities, boards, committees and commissions that meet under the auspices of the town.
After first meeting that way in the spring and summer, council decided to do so again last December as COVID case counts climbed. However, that decision was up for renewal last month.
“This is an ongoing health concern,” chief administrative officer Michael Merritt said, adding that by conducting meetings in this manner, all those involved in the meetings are “better off and will be able to stay away from COVID to the best of our ability.”
