Westview Co-op has expanded again -- acquiring a second Drumheller-area company, Tri West Agro Ltd.

Tri West Agro’s crop input location offers customers custom granular fertilizer blending, seed and crop supplies. It also offers other services such as soil sampling and agronomic advice.

The acquisition of Tri West took effect Oct. 1.

Almost exactly a year ago, Westview and Drumheller Co-op merged, enabling the organization to not only serve Mountain View County from facilities in  Olds, Eagle Hill and Carstairs, but also Drumheller and Linden. The deal with Tri-West Agro further enhances service in the Drumheller-Three Hills area.

“We believe in investing locally and we appreciate this opportunity to expand our commodity offering and serve even more members and guests in our ag community,” Westview Co-op general manager Dennis Laing says.

"We felt they were the right fit for the continued business, the staff and the community. Thank you to all our customers who have made this business successful and we know you will be in good hands with Westview Co-op, ” Tri West Agro president Ed Miller says.
