The Olds & District Chamber of Commerce has elected four new board members.

A long service awards and staff appreciation celebration was held at the Olds Hospital and Care Centre on March 6. Eight retirees and 34 staff members were honoured for their years of dedication.

In recent months, Olds' town office has taken on a new look just inside the front doors. Protective glass has been installed and some office space has been reshuffled.

BOWDEN -- Sewer as well as and water meter testing rates are rising in the town as of April 1. Town council passed a bylaw setting out the new rates during its Feb. 25 meeting.

Town workers only had to deal with one water main break during the cold snap, according to communications coordinator Monica Leatherdale . Starting on the Feb. 1 weekend, the cold snap lasted just over a month.
