Members of the Olds High School (OHS) Interact Club are gearing up for their 10th annual fundraising banquet. It takes place next week on March 12 and will start at 5:30 p.m. at the high school.

Two men were due back in Didsbury provincial court March 4 in connection with a break-in to the FortisAlberta yard in Olds. Both men are Calgary residents. Calvin Hawryluk, 39, is charged with breaking and entering and possession of stolen property.

Two people were scheduled to appear in Red Deer provincial court Friday, March 1 after local residents reported a suspicious vehicle near the Olds-Didsbury Airport that turned out to be stolen. On Feb. 27, at about 9:45 a.m.

Westview Co-op has received an Excellence in Brand Development award from Federated Co-operatives Ltd. (FCL), Co-op's parent organization. Westview was chosen for that award from among 170 Co-ops across Western Canada.

Efforts are well underway to more than double the size of the Olds Cemetery and to develop it into more of a park, town officials say.

The cause of a fire at an animal feed production business in the southeast industrial park remains under investigation, but it's not believed to be suspicious, fire officials say.

BOWDEN -- Olds RCMP are still investigating a case in which a 58-year-old Bowden resident was hit by his own truck Monday morning as he tried to prevent a man from stealing it.

The town's first Spring Showcase was such a success, organizers are seriously looking at running it again next year.

Olds High School will be undergoing a name change to reflect its French immersion program and to match the elementary and middle schools. It's expected that when the next school year begins it will be officially known as École Olds High School.
