Product grown and extracted at the Sundial Olds cannabis production facilities could be utilized in studies around the world, according to Sundial Growers Inc. president Geoff Thompson.

If you've ever had the urge to smash pumpkins, you'll have your chance this Saturday, Oct. 13. That's when Uptowne Olds will be holding its first annual Pumpkin Smash, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot behind Sim's Furniture.

Nearly 400 people turned out to the TransCanada Theatre Oct. 3 for a discussion on grief and loss, organized by the Olds & District Hospice Society. The talk, held from 7 to 9 p.m., was given by local pyschologist Jody Carrington.
