Sunrise Village and Sunrise Village Encore in Olds paid tribute to war veterans last week. On Friday, Sunrise Village Encore staff welcomed Olds legion veterans to view 300 paper poppies "planted" in the gardens of the home.

A Bowden Institution inmate has died while in custody. Emergency services were called on Nov. 11 and arrived at the minimum and medium security prison at approximately 10 a.m., according to Correctional Service Canada.
