Those who steward the horticulture program's garden at Olds College say the harvest came too soon; by thieves who picked up to 500 pounds of vegetables that were grown specifically for students.

If you test drive a Buick on Saturday, Sept. 17, at Olds High School, Buick will donate up to $10,000 to the school. The fundraising event runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

In the future, wetlands will be the source of a lot of jobs, thanks to a new provincial policy, the head of an environmental company says. And Steven Tannas would like to see Olds College be the place to train people for those jobs.

Sherin Lalani of Olds recently came back from Toronto, where she competed in Miss Canada Globe Productions' national pageant. She was awarded the Canadian Scholarship Ambassador position for a one-year term.
