Canadian Natural Resources Ltd. (TSX:CNQ). Energy. Down $2.50, or 3.32 per cent, to $72.86 on 16.1 million shares.
TC Energy Corp. (TSX:TRP). Energy. Down $1.34, or 2.37 per cent, to $55.25 on 13.5 million shares.
Bank of Nova Scotia (TSX:BNS). Financials. Down 80 cents, or 1.23 per cent, to $64.06 on 10.9 million shares.
Suncor Energy Inc. (TSX:SU). Energy. Down $1.86, or 4.13 per cent, to $43.18 on 10.3 million shares.
Toronto-Dominion Bank (TSX:TD). Financials. Down $1.41, or 1.71 per cent, to $80.83 on 9.6 million shares.
Enbridge Inc. (TSX:ENB). Energy. Down $1.17, or 2.3 per cent, to $49.71 on eight million shares.
Companies in the news:
Canadian National Railway Co. (TSX:CNR). Down $1.89, or 1.25 per cent, to $148.96. CN said it concluded arbitration with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, resulting in a three-year collective agreement that includes a three per cent wage increase for three years in a row. The collective agreement is retroactive to Jan. 1, 2022, and runs through Dec. 31, 2024. IBEW had agreed to binding arbitration in July, ending a two-week strike.
Cineplex Inc. (TSX:CGX). Down 28 cents, or 3.24 per cent, to $8.35. Cineplex said its box office revenue amounted to $23 million in September, just over half of its revenue in September 2019. The company said lower business volumes were expected in August and September due to pandemic-related production delays, and added it focused on increasing its offerings of international movies during the period in light of limited Hollywood options.
