Bank of Nova Scotia (TSX:BNS). Financials. Up 39 cents, or 0.56 per cent, to $69.58 on 10.2 million shares.
Enbridge Inc. (TSX:ENB). Energy. Down 16 cents, or 0.29 per cent, to $55.76 on 8.4 million shares.
Hut 8 Mining Corp. (TSX:HUT). Financials. Up 39 cents, or 18.40 per cent, to $2.51 on 5.6 million shares.
Argonaut Gold Inc. (TSX:AR). Materials. Unchanged, at 67 cents on 4.4 million shares.
Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (TSX:CM). Financials. Up eight cents, or 0.14 per cent, to $58.58 on 4.1 million shares.
Corus Entertainment (TSX:CJR.B). Media. Up 15 cents, or 7.85 per cent, to $2.06 on 4.1 million shares.
Companies in the news:
First Quantum Minerals Ltd. (TSX:FM). Down $1.92, or 6.15 per cent, to $29.31. First Quantum Minerals said it expects copper and gold production for 2022 to be down from 2021, at 4.9 per cent and 8.3 per cent respectively, while it expects nickel production to be 29.4 per cent higher. The Vancouver-based company said its Cobre Panama copper mine delivered record production in 2022. That mine is currently embroiled in confusion over whether First Quantum and the Panama government will be able to reach an agreement that allows the company to continue operating the mine.
