KITCHENER, Ont. — Logan Mailloux's goal at 3:15 of overtime lifted the visiting London Knights to an exciting 4-3 victory over the Kitchener Rangers in the lone Ontario Hockey League game on Tuesday's schedule.
Easton Cowan scored for the Knights at 13:13 of the third to tie the game at 3-3 and force the extra period.
Landon Sim and Max McCue also scored for the Knights (37-13-1-0) and George Diaco chipped in with three assists. The Knights lead the OHL's Midwest Division and are 26 points ahead of the fourth-place Rangers. The Knights are ranked No. 9 in this week's Canadian Hockey League Top 10 list.
Reid Valade had two goals for the Rangers (23-24-3-0), while Filip Mesar netted a single.
The Knights outshot the Rangers 37-24. The first period was scoreless and the Rangers took a 2-1 lead into the third.
