Toronto police say they've arrested three teens in the stabbing of a student at a high school in the city's east end.

Officers had responded earlier this month to reports of a stabbing inside Birchmount Park Collegiate just as students were being dismissed for the day.

Police had said a 17-year-old student had been found with stab wounds and was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The force says two 14-year-old boys and one 17-year-old boy have all since been arrested and charged with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon.

None of the teens can be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The stabbing at the school on Nov. 14 was the second such incident to take place at Birchmount Park Collegiate this year – a 14-year-old student was stabbed outside the high school in April but was not seriously injured.
