I am writing this letter for your paper to give a huge bouquet to the staff of the Olds Hospital.
My daughter had some surgery in January 2014 at the hospital and it was a wonderful experience for her and me.
I have been a registered nurse for 40 years and have been around enough to know excellence when I see it.
Everyone we encountered was very friendly and helpful.
The room was spotless and anywhere we went was the same.
This dedication to cleanliness is not often seen in the larger hospitals I have been in.
The nurses were kind, helpful and very professional in the way they cared for my daughter.
She was scared and they comforted her.
She has asthma and they treated her before the surgery to prevent any complications from having anesthesia.
They were constantly checking in on her and the roommate to make sure all was well.
We are so grateful to Dr. Marais, the anesthesiologist and the fabulous nurses and other staff on the Olds Hospital day surgery room.
