Innisfail will be fortunate if it has any volunteer firefighters following this (Nov. 1 Innisfail Province) announcement –“I will make my intent clear…of where the department is going…”
I would have resigned on the spot, but actually I would not have been a volunteer following Mayor Brian Spiller's statement to the department as reported in the Innisfail Province on Oct. 11.
It is apparent the motivation behind Dean Clark's dismissal and this appointment is to tighten a hold on the town. That is not in the town's best interest.
