When I read that council wants to rebrand Bowden, I thought, "good luck."
The trouble with Bowden is that most of the vacant land is owned by individuals who hope to make a huge profit.
Bowden needs more business, like a grocery store, a garage. Entrepreneurs were turned down by previous council and they now are doing a booming business in Penhold.
If some businesses are started, would the local people support them? Innisfail and Olds are close, so people will support those towns.
With a population of over 1,200 people, perhaps the town would lower the taxes in Bowden so it is affordable for anyone to live here and start a business.
