The Mountain View Arts Festival over the weekend was three days of great entertainment.
Didsbury Museum had a lovely photography contest and trains by the Mountain View Model Railroad Club, teddy bears picnic and a special harvest tea. There was even a-sing-along with some wonderful music.
Didsbury Municipal Library provided a great virtual reality option for kids helping see special history of our nation.
There was a special Top Note Jazz dessert night on Friday, Sept. 6 which featured Little G singing. The desserts by Myrna were amazing.
There was a fantastic Game Zone for kids at the Elks club with a band, Experience Points, playing amazing video game music on Saturday.
Pandora’s Boox came down from Olds to provide some great fun for kids.
On Sunday, the PolyJesters performed at the Elks Hall, as did Camille, from Camlos studio, and Top Noters.
Barry Valleau, 80 years young, performed with his sons Jason and Sheldon of the Polyjesters - playing What A wonderful World on his trumpet, a very special moment for all watching.
The train station had 12 artists with make-and-take-it-projects to help folks learn. Merrilee did a great job working together with that team.
There was even chalk art, kitty petting and crafts from the Mountain View Humane Society.
Kathleen Windsor and Mary Hatcher did an outstanding job co-chairing the event.
Merrilee from Stained Glass helped with artists, Kathleen helped in the museum, Tricia did a great job in the library, and Teena from Top Note Music School ran the music venues.
It was an exciting weekend for all in Didsbury.
