The 2016 Miss Rodeo Sundre pageant is underway this year and we have two lovely ladies vying for the title of Miss Rodeo Sundre 2016. We will be having the ladies' fashion show coming up the end of this month, and we would like to invite everyone to come and attend it.
This is a very important event for us as it is not only a requirement of the ladies' competition, but it is also one of our biggest fundraisers. We sell 50-50 tickets, have a silent auction as well as an admission at the door. All of the money raised from this event goes to helping the ladies during their year representing the Sundre Pro Rodeo and the Sundre community.
During their reign, the ladies attend many different events throughout Alberta, B.C., and sometimes the United States. We are a not-for-profit organization and the ladies are not paid to represent Sundre, so we have to fundraise and get sponsors to help them during their years, and then the girls cover a percentage of the costs themselves.
The girls go to many events, including a lot that aren't related to rodeo at all, but definitely represent Sundre!
With that being said, we would really love to see a big turnout and support from our community during this event.
