Confused over tree removal issue

Guess I was a little confused about MPC's attitude to the removal of one "old" tree by a little building contractor. Small lot, dense housing, big tree in the wrong location, something's gotta be done.

Guess I was a little confused about MPC's attitude to the removal of one "old" tree by a little building contractor. Small lot, dense housing, big tree in the wrong location, something's gotta be done. Can't make an omelette without breaking eggs, as they say. Old trees, like old people wither and die -- only a matter of time. Nothing is permanent, in spite of what some would like to believe. I note that the contractor in question has planted two fair-sized trees on the property to replace the old one. A little time and they will be more attractive than ever, which would have become an eyesore before long. Gotta wonder, does Olds MPC have nothing more pressing to worry about? Seems like the height of stupidity, viewed from here.
