I would like to state my displeasure with Cam Clark Ford buying the former high school site to be used as a dealership. That is absolutely a terrible place for a dealership!
The site backs onto 48th Street and residential/retail is directly across that street. On the other side of Highway 27 there exists retail. Dealerships should be in more industrial areas.
This area of town, and this site in particular, is perfect for retail and/or mixed use retail/residential and NOT a car dealership.
I encourage the town and the board of education to turn down this offer to purchase and choose a more appropriate buyer.
