I am writing this letter to reflect my feelings on the coverage of the recent municipal election.
I am disappointed that the Albertan did not take the election coverage seriously. There was zero information revealed about any of the candidates for councillor, except on how to contact each candidate.
If the local paper of record cannot be bothered to probe, question or even collate each candidate's platform what is the point of a local paper?
Generally, I find the local reporting to be excellent so I am not sure what to attribute the total lack of focus on this important issue to.
