Re: ìMissing bridge delays ambulance timesî by John Gleeson, Oct. 25.I believe Ms. Bouck and Ms. Canaday should be thanking their lucky stars they are alive and doing well because of our ìfree health-careî system. I lost a dear friend this summer after she was thrown from her horse and another friend had her pelvis broken after being thrown off this summer. Why did they not tell someone where they were riding or ride somewhere near a more accessible road? Horses are expensive animals to have and as they know now, can be dangerous to your health. Instead of whining about the bridge being out, they should take some responsibility for their actions and not expect the taxpayer to build a bridge just so they can be safer as they pursue their hobby. Already they have cost the taxpayer probably tens of thousands, just because they wilfully engaged in a very risky hobby. Shame on you.Perry MillerInnisfail
