Gardening tips for daily life

I know that Olds has a lot of gardeners who are just getting the bug now to go to work on their gardens. I have food for thought when you decide what to plant. I come to the garden alone while the dew is still on the roses.

I know that Olds has a lot of gardeners who are just getting the bug now to go to work on their gardens. I have food for thought when you decide what to plant.

I come to the garden alone while the dew is still on the roses. Here are some tips for the garden of your daily living.

Plant three rows of peas for:

Peace of mind,

Peace of heart,

Peace of soul.

Plant four rows of squash to:

Squash gossip,

Squash indifference,

Squash grumbling,

Squash selfishness.

Plant four rows of lettuce:

Lettuce be faithful,

Lettuce be kind,

Lettuce be patient,

Lettuce really love one another.

No garden is without turnips.

Turnip for meetings,

Turnip for service,

Turnip to help one another.

To complete our garden, we must have thyme:

Thyme for each other,

Thyme for family,

Thyme for friends.

Water your garden freely with patience and cultivate it with love. There is much fruit in your garden because you reap what you sow.

Hopefully people will enjoy my garden and take time to smell the flowers.

Happy gardening.
