Hello; no I didn't pass on; no I didn't leave town.
So, I thought I would put some news in your paper concerning the local hockey Junior A Grizzlys.
Yes we would like to get out of debt and have a bit over.
So we are launching a drive to help raise money to help the above situation.
Our major drive now is to sell season tickets (up to 500); that may sound a lot but just take into consideration the territory which we can draw from. Town of Olds, over 8,000; surrounding area 25 to 30 to 40,000 residents. Really it should not be a problem with the above stats.
Our arena holds up to 2,000, standing room only.
There should not be a problem to get 1,000 fans every game.
What's the problem?
Right now we get average 500-600 some nights and a few nights 700 fans. So really if we want Grizzly hockey, speak up, come down and buy a season ticket.
Present price $350.
For 30 games.
More than likely you will come to most games so right now help keep Grizzlys here in this great town of ours (Olds).

Spencer Dorowicz, one local boy is the top goal getter this past season for the Grizz and the league with 40 goals.
