This year is the 60th anniversary of the Olds Municipal Library.
When I stopped by the library to pay my membership fee, I was informed that all 2019 membership fees are waived to help celebrate the anniversary.
What a pleasant surprise. However, after thinking about it, I decided to pay my membership fee and I would encourage you, if you can, to do the same.
What are the benefits of living in a community with such a vital facility? Here are a few:
- you can borrow books, CDs, audio books
- access to ebooks
- excellent inter-library borrowing
- computers for public use
- friendly and exceedingly helpful staff
- assistance with computers/software
- iPhone, computer, tutorials for a nominal fee
- free library usage areas
- room bookings with a minimum charge
- children’s programs
- seminars on a variety of topics
- book sales
Please consider the excellent resource we have; consider paying your 2019 membership (you would receive a charitable donation receipt).
