The Wild Rose Humane Society (WRHS) has purchased land and a building in Didsbury to create an animal shelter. We would like to thank all of our volunteers and donors who have contributed over the years to help make this purchase possible.

The animal shelter will house cats, dogs and other small pets and will open its doors in the spring after building modifications and pet-friendly enhancements have been completed. We are not yet accepting pets at the shelter, but are continuing to foster animals in need until the shelter is operational.

This is a significant step forward for the WRHS in raising the standard of care and support for animals in need and for encouraging responsible pet ownership in communities between lnnisfail and Airdrie.

We are now embarking on a campaign to raise funds for capital and operational costs.

As we expand, volunteers and supplies are needed now more than ever. This includes volunteer tradespeople and professionals. Details are available on our website.

A grand opening and our new charity golf tournament are set for spring 2017.

For more information or to donate please visit www.wildrosehumane.ca or call 403-586-PAWS (7297). Please be patient; we are entirely volunteer run and it may take a couple of days for us to return your email or call.
