On Sept. 5 we were travelling back to Calgary after camping west of Sundre on Crown land. We were heading to the Carstairs campground to dump our tanks. As we got into Carstairs we were flagged down and a gentleman told us that our driver side tire on our trailer was gone.
We pulled over to fix it and had just got the jack out of the trailer when another gentleman and his wife pulled over to see if he could lend a hand. He helped with changing the tire as well as removing all the wire that had somehow gotten wrapped around the axle of the trailer. This good Samaritan's name is Garry, an ex-RCMP who lives north of Carstairs.
When finished, he would only take a handshake and a thank you for his troubles and his assistance. There are Good Samaritans out there. Thanks again, Garry.
