Letter: Leaders must be held accountable

Threatening national unity undermines Canada's democratic institutions and social fabric, says letter writer
opinion

I am deeply concerned about Alberta Premier Danielle Smith as she aligns herself with Donald Trump and threatens a “national unity crisis.”

Such rhetoric raises serious questions about her loyalty to our country.

Treason is a grave offence in both Canada and the U.S.A., with severe consequences.

In Canada, it can lead to life imprisonment, while in the U.S.A., it can result in death or significant prison time. Threatening national unity undermines our democratic institutions and social fabric

I urge the RCMP to investigate this matter and consider laying charges. Our leaders must be held accountable for actions that jeopardize the stability and unity of our nation.
