Letter: Legion's apologetic stance on Olds meeting troubling

"Unfortunately, the legion has issued a public apology in the Albertan newspaper, and perhaps elsewhere, stating the meeting did not meet their subject matter criteria for hall rental," letter writer says

On March 16, citizens of Olds held a very important information meeting at the Royal Canadian Legion in Olds regarding land rights and bylaws, including discussion on 15 minute cities. It was well attended with over 300 packing the hall and was very well received.

Unfortunately, the legion has issued a public apology in the Albertan newspaper, and perhaps elsewhere, stating the meeting did not meet their subject matter criteria for hall rental.

This is very troubling because the reason the hall was selected was due to the enormous sacrifice veterans have made to ensure our freedoms, liberty and way of life.

The material presented by myself, and Tajana, is from thousands of hours of research, meetings with MPs, players, etc., and is exactly in line with those crucial principles. For your own reference, the meeting can be seen on my YouTube channel under my name.

We covered issues that you will not hear from politicians, yet will dramatically change the entire structure of society and our land rights, which have now effectively been lost through Bill C-15 passed June 2021 and article 26 of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP).

It's important on these important issues to have varying perspectives in order to come to a balanced truth of the matter. While some question our credibility, I can tell you 100 per cent that some MPs I have talked to are purposely not warning Canadians about this as I believe it may end their political career, or cause some other form punishment. That is why it’s vital that watchdogs such as myself and Tajana be heard.
