Letter: Premier's Initial response showed lack of respect

Ashamed to admit I am an Albertan after debacle
opinion

I am a proud Canadian but I am ashamed to admit I am an Albertan after the debacle of the press conference view by Premier Jason Kenney about the numerous elected UCP MLAs and staffers who were on vacation, out of the county, over the holidays, during the pandemic.

There was no reprimand at the time or consequences for these actions. Where are your ethics?

This action showed no respect for the hard working front-line medical staff, police, essential workers and those of us who chose to follow the rules and forgo meeting with family and friends over the holidays.

I don’t understand or condone the actions of our election officials.

No wonder the approval rating for the premier of Alberta is so low on the handling of there pandemic.
