I do disagree with Queen Daniel (Smith’s) view on the RCMP and giving a billionaire Australian the go ahead to destroy the beauty of our Rockies to develop coal mines.
But in my humble opinion she is spot on in going after the $334 billion in Canadian Pension Plan assets an Alberta Pension Plan would be entitled to, to ensure future generations their pensions for generations to come.
Better put the money under our mattress instead of Ottawa’s.
I was born in Alberta 75 years ago and have paid into that fund for 49 years. I understand the money can’t be used for any other purpose but what it is intended for and it must at least match what we receive from Ottawa. I hope a referendum is called to quiet the naysayers.
