Recent numbers show that one in two Albertans will get cancer and one in four will die from it. I am inviting you to join the Tomorrow Project now, as a chance to make a difference in the future. The Tomorrow Project is the largest research study ever undertaken in Alberta and is designed to discover more about what causes cancer. As a study supported in part by Alberta Health Services, the Tomorrow Project is aimed at discovering environmental, social, genetic and lifestyle links between health and disease. You can choose to participate by mail, or can visit a study centre. There are permanent study centres in Calgary and Edmonton, and others are travelling to a variety of locations around the province. Information gathered will be collected and analyzed to help find new ways of preventing cancer that will benefit our children and grandchildren.By mid-2013, the project needs 50,000 Albertans between the ages of 35 and 69, who have never had cancer, to join this study. Each and every person can make a difference in finding out why some people get cancer and others do not.For more information or to join the study as a participant, please visit www.in4tomorrow.ca or call toll free 1-877-919-9292.Joy CasselmanOlds
