Party Safe organizer thanks volunteers for their help

Mrs. Statchuk and I wanted to express our sincere appreciation for everything that was done to make the 2019 Party Safe Program a success.
WebMock collision-2
An RCMP member “arrests” Ecole Olds High School student Parker Mogck during a mock collision in Olds May 1. In the scenario, he was suspected of being intoxicated.

Mrs. Statchuk and I wanted to express our sincere appreciation for everything that was done to make the 2019 Party Safe Program a success.

This large collaboration of community groups and individuals, all coming together, created a day that will impact students for life.

This year I counted over 100 volunteers that stepped up to make this possible. Most of you volunteered your time to be present and received no reward other than simply to know you made a difference.

Every story you shared, every experience you imparted to this group of teenagers helped them to fully understand the difficulty of your role and your sacrifice.

It helped students understand the consequences of a poor decision and they are now armed with the knowledge and education to guide them.

We are so proud of you all and whether you were an emergency responder on the scene, a parent volunteer helping students navigate the stations, a financial supporter or someone sharing their personal experiences, you made a difference.

Please let us know if there was anything you can see that needed improving. We always like to make notes while things are fresh in our minds.

Once again, thank you for doing your part. You have made a difference!

With grateful appreciation,

Lana Cissell,

Olds
