The Holy Land. Have you ever been to the Holy Land? It’s the epicentre of faith, history and sadly, war.

Sadly, in the history of Christianity we have failed Israel and the Jewish nation. Yes, I said it right, the Jewish nation. The Christian faith was birthed in Israel and finds its roots in Judaism.

Let me emphasize today that the Jewish people are not the so-called “occupiers” of the land of Israel. Shame on UNESCO and the UN for turning against Israel! The Temple Mount belongs to Israel for they alone hold the title deed to their historical homeland.  You can read it in Genesis 12:1-3, 15:1-21, 17:1-27 and  35:9-15. God promises to bless all nations who bless Israel (Genesis 22: 1-19). The Palestinians were the actual occupiers living in a foreign land.

Since Israel declared its independence on May 14, 1948, they have lived in war and fear ever since. A source tells me that 100,000 Jews have either lost their lives fighting or were seriously injured trying to keep their homeland. But God promises this nation will stand forever and be a beacon of hope for the world. It is the eternal homeland of the Jewish nation.  Jerusalem stands as her capital. Maybe someday the media will share the good news of the unity of Palestinian and Jewish Christians who worship together in the same church.

I read recently a story of five Christian Jewish men washing the feet of a Christian Palestinian brother, how God brought healing into their lives, and how they are working together to reach others in the region for Christ. Jesus Christ is the only answer for this region. He alone is the true Prince of Peace who will come and save Israel.

We can hate or like Donald Trump, but hats off to his support in moving the American Embassy to Jerusalem.  Guatemala also pledges to move its embassy as well. Federal PC Leader Andrew Sheer has said he would support moving the Canadian Embassy to Jerusalem if elected in 2019.

Here at River of Life Pentecostal Assembly we support the nation of Israel and we understand her vital importance to the Christian faith and the world. So united we stand with her, which is why we proudly have the beautiful Israeli flag in our church.

I support ministries in Jerusalem and if anyone would like to travel to Israel and participate in an awesome Holy Land tour please contact the River of Life church. Depending on participation, we will do our best to organize a life-changing, eye-opening Holy Land tour.

Pray for the peace of Israel and this great nation.
