My opinion is my opinion only!
I don't have or do anything with social media. But I have talked with people about what I think of these roundabouts, and have found some who share similar thoughts.
We are a destination for many tourists. We are the opening to the West Country for forestry, oil and gas, hunting, camping, and the list can go on and on. All of these people buy in our town, which helps to create employment for so many of our residents.
These roundabouts are a blow to everyone ó individuals and businesses.
As well, we are a dangerous route for heavy truck transportation. Why would we want to make their work more dangerous? Alberta Transportation must think that we should be pleased with their monstrosity by constricting the flow of traffic through our town.
What was Alberta Transportation thinking?
"Just confuse the little town that could ó they don't know any better!"
Well! You haven't lived until you have lived in Sundre, Alberta. And we do live here and we do know what we want, and we do know how we want it. We use common sense to figure out problems.
Nothing was solved by these roundabouts, especially not safety.
