This is a request to all animal owners, and cat owners in particular, that they keep control of their pets at all times and ensure they do not stray from their property to run free throughout the neighbourhood.
We all know that bylaw enforcement is low on the agenda of the town administration, however, this is no reason for animal owners to be irresponsible.
I have been harassed by cat(s) in the past four weeks that have repeatedly defecated and urinated on my flower beds and vegetable garden.
The latter is now so contaminated the soil will have to be dug out and replaced. I am out of pocket by at least $250 spent on manure, fertilizers, plants and seeds this spring, not to mention that I will have no homegrown vegetables this year and will need to purchase my requirements.
Stray animals will not be tolerated.
