With the various beautiful walking/biking trails in this town, could you please inform bikers of the "trail etiquette" regarding riding up behind walkers and runners?
A simple bell, or a "coming up behind you" shout would be ever so helpful in avoiding the near heart failures we walkers have every time someone comes riding up full speed behind us without a word.
More than once we've experienced the "dance of the bike trail" as we try to step out of the way of a biker bearing down on us from behind. Who goes which way?
There has to be some official insight on this. Parents: Please tell your kids to get and use bike bells. And adults -- use yours!
