I am a mother and grandmother. A Sundre and area resident for 37 plus years. I am a passionate artist, and a long time community and area volunteer. I am a board member on the Sundre Aquaplex, Foothills Senior Lodge Auxiliary, Sundre West Country Center. Was a public member for the Bearberry/Red Deer River Corridor area Structure Plan and the Municipal Development Plan for the County. Volunteered on the Red Deer River Watershed Alliance. I am a team player and a great listener, and I stand up for what I believe in.
I love Sundre and all that it has to offer. Friendly hardworking people, dedicated volunteers, many senior citizens, with a great wealth of knowledge and experiences to share. Young people to be proud of. A very picturest town with his many streams and river.
I am running because I believe that municipal government is the most important level of government as municipal decisions have the most immediate and direct impact on our daily lives. These decisions should benefit us. Economically, socially and environmentally, reflecting our values and needs. I believe we can accomplish this by achieving together with honesty, effort and integrity. I have the time and desire to devote to council and will represent you with pride and passion. A proud ambassador for Sundre.
My priorities are affordable taxes, environment, recreation and culture, youth and seniors.
I have never sat on council before. I come to the table with no hidden agenda just a desire to be part of the municipal council. I have concerns and ideas and I am looking forward to learning and working with council.
