On December 30, 2010, a tragic accident occurred near Canmore wherein Darrin Waugh, Jennifer Waugh and Roddy Allan lost their lives.
Darrin’s sister and Roddy’s wife, Jaimie Waugh has been left to grieve the loss of her brother, sister-in-law and husband.
Jaimie Waugh grew up in Innisfail and both she and her family were very involved in many aspects of our town. As the saying goes, “It takes a village to raise a child, now even more than ever we can say “it takes a whole town to support and help a young lady, our friend, through such a tragic experience.”
We would like to invite you and your business to share in a charity event for Jaimie and her two sons, Rylen and Oliver. On February 18, 2011 at the Innisfail Arena beginning at 8 p.m., a Skills Competition will be held for the Innisfail Minor Hockey players and at 9 p.m., the Innisfail Eagles Alumni will pull their equipment out of storage to play a game in honour of their friend, Darrin Waugh. There will be a silent auction and 50/50 raffle in the Innisfail Arena Lounge with 100 per cent of the proceeds directed to Jaimie Waugh and her sons, Rylen and Oliver to alleviate financial burden.
Jaimie’s financial burden will be somewhat alleviated through your sponsorship of this event or the donation of a live or silent auction item. Your sponsorship or donation towards this event is greatly appreciated by not only Jaimie, but her family and her friends as well.
Thank you for your consideration of this request. If you have any questions regarding sponsorship opportunities or the donation of a live or silent auction, please contact Angela Brownson at Bare Bones Clothing on Main Street, Innisfail or by telephone at (403) 227-2170 or (403) 597-3777. We will follow up with you to discuss this opportunity further.
Together, with your support and participation, we will make this event successful and show our friend and her family that our hearts are with them!
Kind Regards,
The Waugh/Allan Eagles Alumni Charity Game
