LAC-BEAUPORT, Que. — Canadian freestyle skiers Marion Thenault and Emile Nadeau earned bronze medals on home snow in World Cup aerials action on Saturday.
Thenault of Sherbrooke, Que., finished behind Karenna Elliott of the U.S., and Danielle Scott of Australia, who took gold and silver in the women's event.
Thenault sits in third in the season standings with 182 points, with Scott (280) remaining in first and Elliott (170) in fourth.
On the men's side, Nadeau placed behind China's Qi Guangpu and Wang Xindi, who grabbed gold and silver, respectively.
Nadeau is one of two Canadians in the top 10 of the season standings. The Prévost, Que., native is seventh with 131 points, while Quebec City's Alexandre Duchaine (187) is fifth.
Qi (300), the reigning Olympic gold medallist, and Wang (190) are first and fourth in the standings.
