Canada is kind of known for being chilly. While not all of our provinces freeze over in the winter, most of them sure do. Some choose destinations on other continents like Central or South America, but many head right to our neighbours down south in the U.S.

Palm Springs
If you're in Southern Canada, driving to Palm Springs will only take you about 24 hours. That may not sound like a small drive for an average traveller, but it's child's play for experienced RVers. The benefits of visiting Palm Springs in the winter are plentiful, and the warm weather is on the list of perks.
Visiting the desert in winter means idyllic weather. You can expect temperatures over 20 C, so pack your warm clothing. On top of that, you can expect many activities like golfing, camping, horseback riding, hiking, fishing, and so much sightseeing. There is also great shopping and lots of open-air markets for you to splurge. There's a fantastic art scene, great food and beverage, and some of the most unique campgrounds you could imagine. Phoenix
It will take over a day to drive to Pheonix from the Canadian border, but boy, is it worth it. Regardless if you're looking for an athletic vacation that includes rock climbing and mountain biking or a more leisurely trip with days by the pool and happy hours, you'll find it here.
