Vehicles move slowly past construction workers on the Red Deer River Bridge on Thursday. Despite rainy afternoons last week, the bridge rehabilitation work is continuing on schedule, says Ron Baker, town director of operations. “The rain is inconvenient but isn't slowing things down,” he said. Meanwhile, the contractor has reduced the timing on the lights at night from five minutes to three minutes to help get traffic through more smoothly. “There are still some complaints about the traffic, but it reaches a point where we can't do too much more about it,” he said.
