SUNDRE – Some TELUS customers in Sundre are experiencing a service interruption Thursday that has also impacted other communities in Alberta.
The telecommunications company that provides phone, internet and television services is reporting an active outage as of earlier on Dec. 19 at 11:18 a.m. with the situation yet to be resolved.
The service outage is impacting internet, Optik TV, Pik TV and mobile data, text and voice services.
The latest available update as of 1:55 p.m. posted on the company's website states that the outage is the result of "cable damage caused by unaffiliated construction work being performed in the area."
Customers in Didsbury, Carstairs, Crossfield, Three Hills and beyond are reportedly experiencing issues.
"Service technicians are on-site and investigation is underway. There is currently no estimated time of restoration," states the latest update.
