SUNDRE — Mounties are advising the public to keep their eyes peeled for a black Ford F350 pickup truck whose driver fled when Sundre officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop.

The situation began to unfold this afternoon (Nov. 10) just after 3 p.m. when members of the Sundre RCMP detachment tried to pull the driver over on the Main Avenue-Highway 27 corridor.

“The suspect vehicle was last seen westbound on Main Avenue,” reported Sgt. Trent Sperlie.

The truck’s description is of a lifted black F350 with the licence plate CBZ 2308, while the suspect driver is reported to be a white male with a beard donning a backwards ball cap, the detachment's commander said.

“It was reported driving erratically heading west from Sundre,” Sperlie said.

The sergeant said anyone who sees the suspect vehicle should dial 911.

"Do not approach or pursue," he added.
