Almost 60 people came out for the Sundre and District Aquatic Society’s golf tournament fundraiser for the Aquaplex, hosted by Coyote Creek Golf and RV Resort on June 8.

Leona Bennett, the society's treasurer, said about $8,000 was raised, and that the winning team was Adam Baron, Dale Bennett and Keith Taylor. She also expressed on behalf of the board gratitude for the community's support in making the event successful.

The next fundraiser for the Aquaplex is the Great Bearberry Duck Race, which is coming up in July. Tickets are available in participating locations around town, she said.
