Lana Saunders, born and raised in Sundre, picks up last week an order of oranges and grapefruits with some help from River Valley School volunteer Grade 8 student Tate Shand during the 34th annual campaign, the largest of two major fundraisers for the school.
Despite bitterly frigid weather that saw temperatures dipping down to around -30 C, there was a long lineup of people packing in to pick up their orders. Saunders, who remembers the fundraiser from when she herself was a student at River Valley, now has a son and daughter enrolled at the school.
