The Sundre Palliative Care Association has kicked off a new fundraising effort aimed at raising about $4,000 for the construction of a new cedar gazebo on the hospital grounds.
Association secretary Peggy Kadey says the new gazebo, to be located in Sundre Palliative Care Garden, will be a great place for patients and their families to visit and be together during difficult times.
The fundraising effort will include donation booths set up outside the Sundre post office in the weeks ahead. All donations will be acknowledged with a tax receipt and donation of $100 or more will be recognized with a plaque, she said.
The association has been active in Sundre for more than 20 years, promoting quality compassionate end of life care.
