Cold weather could not keep everyone away over Family Day long weekend as people explored Sundre museum and Greenwood Campground

SUNDRE – Those who came out for Sundre Winterfest 2025 braved some cold temperatures but had plenty of opportunities to warm up.

Although the sky was clear blue and the sun shining bright, temperatures hovered around the -20 degree Celsius (C) range on Sunday and Monday, Feb. 16-17 over the Family Day long weekend.

Yet many people were undaunted and simply donned some extra layers as they ventured out to see what was going on at the riverside Greenwood Campground's community gazebo as well as the Sundre and District Museum.
