Children had a chance to see Santa at the Sundre fire hall, where there was also hot chocolate, candy canes and kids' fire helmets

1 / 1 The Sundre Fire Department hosted Santa on Saturday, Dec. 14 at the hall, where there was plenty of popcorn, candy canes, hot chocolate and kid-sized fire helmets in an assortment of colours for children to choose from. Among them were five-year-old Vlad Korotchenko, who was happy to see jolly old St. Nick and came out with his mom Alyona Korotchenko, who a little more than a year ago moved to Sundre from St. Petersburg, Russia after her husband Veniamin found work in Calgary. SUNDRE – The Sundre Fire Department hosted Santa Claus Saturday, Dec. 14.

The event offered children the opportunity to share their Christmas wishes and if they wanted along the way get a candy cane and some hot chocolate and even choose from an assortment of differently coloured kids' fire helmets.
