Students honoured at academic awards night

The 2017-18 Sundre High School Academic Awards Night was held on Friday, Sept. 28. More than 120 current and former students were honoured for their scholastic achievements from the 2017-18 school year.

Sundre High School recognized and celebrated the scholastic successes of its students on Friday, Sept. 28 during the annual academic awards night. The 2017-18 Sundre High School Academic Awards Night was held on Friday, Sept. 28.

More than 120 current and former students were honoured for their scholastic achievements from the 2017-18 school year.

Staff members and representatives from a variety of local organizations presented honour roll scrolls, subject awards, scholarships, and special awards throughout the ceremony. More than $40,000 worth of scholarships, awards as well as bursaries were handed out.

Victoria Taylor was awarded the prestigious Governor General’s Bronze Medallion for highest average in grades 11 and 12 combined. Codi Wilson was awarded the Premier’s Citizenship award. Keyanna St. Dennis and Julie McPhee were named Senior High and Grade 9 Students of the Year respectively.

Mrs. Tracy Wilson and the Sundre High School band provided musical entertainment.

On behalf of all the students and staff at Sundre High School, I would like to congratulate the students on their achievements and thank the organizations and individuals that provided scholarships for our students.
